Cards Of Darkness Take 2

My group and I are members of an expedition, we arrived at this inhospitable land with only one resource. Our purpose for arriving was to extract important natural resources, but upon our arrival we came across the local natives. Without knowing how the natives felt towards us we spoke of our journey to the finding of this land. We discussed our purpose of coming to the natives, unfortunately they did not agree to withdrawing a surplus of there resources for us. Willingly the natives only extracted enough for the survival of our group. Our goal for this expedition is to survive for a 12 month period having possession of more resources than we started with to be considered profitable. Our employer only believes we can accomplish this expedition with force to compel the natives to extract more resources than our minimal survival.
When we settled we established dominance. Right from the start the natives began collecting and gathering for us. This dominance we decided to act towards the natives added hostility against us, which was a risky we were willing to take. Due to the additional hostility we did not press for the natives to collect a surplus of resources. Doing so we knew that the Natives would find the courage to stand up and fight for their land,so we decided that would not result in a good outcome. While these decisions were occurring we witnessed our first environmental disaster, a typhoon. It destroyed many of the villages, knocking down homes, flooding homes, and destroying major feeding crops and resources. The conditions were devastating, so devastating we had to use our emergency resource press, adding two forces to the relations deck. This helped us regain our feeding resources and our leadership role to the natives.
Throughout the year we kept a good relationship with the natives and only had two storms, which was a good and a bad thing due to not having enough water for our crops, but we managed to stay afloat and productive. Frequently we established peaceful relations, sacrificing one resource to the natives. Sacrificing one resource was a way for us to show our appreciation towards the natives, but by not giving too much. Doing so we created trust with the natives, but we ever so rarely established dominance. The reasoning for that was to remind natives who was in control and stated our leadership. On one occasion the natives did not cooperate, when this occurred we pressed for resources. We made them collect resources that were not necessary to have. Since this event they have not act against the my group.
Even though we multiple obstacles throughout the year we have seen much progress in the cooperation of the natives. The end result to this expedition was we ended up with three more resources then started with, but the goodwill cards decreased as the time we spent there went on. We ended up with more hostility cards than goodwill. The expedition was a success and profitable.
